No reassurance, just distance.
Hoping the boomerang of our connection leads us back to each other’s existence.
But I can tell you in this instance
That the odds of future persistence aren’t in our favor
In all honesty
I am liable to blame
For the ego I can’t tame and the heart that is so stained
Let’s burn it all to flame
I hope that we never have to say each other’s name again.
