I’m not nice, I’m intense, I pay the price for a life that feels like endless suspense.
I tense at the idea of being everything I’ve ever wanted to be.
Because I know right now that’s just not who I see.
I don’t need pity or any witty self-deprecation.
I lived in that satisfaction way too long.
I just want to keep singing the song
Of a man who doesn’t know where he belongs.
