SHIPPPENSBURG, Pa.- The West Chester University men’s track and field squad was back in action on Saturday afternoon competing at the Paul Kaiser Track and Field Classic hosted by Shippensburg University.

In the 400 meters, Orion Frazier (Abington, Pa./Abington) turned in the Golden Rams top time as he registered a time of 51.72 seconds to finish in ninth place overall.

Dylan Smiley (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) registered a top-five finish for the Golden Rams as he finished in third with a time of 15 minutes and 44.35 seconds in the 5000-meter run. Chase Knorr (Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) registered a top-five finish of his own moments later as he finished in fourth with a time of 10:12.73.

Ralph Casper (York, Pa./York Suburban) registered a top-five finish during the hammer throw as he recorded a mark of 174 feet two inches to capture third place in this event.  Casper recorded another top-five finish in the discus as he registered a mark of 161-8 to finish in fifth in this event. Casper also recorded a victory in the shot put with a mark of 53-7 ¾.

Andrew Puz (Exton, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) had a strong performance of his own to finish in seventh in the pole vault with a mark of  14-1 ¼.

Matthew Hook (Fleetwood,Pa./Fleetwood) captured a top-10 finish of his own in the javelin with a mark of 162-11.

West Chester will be back in action in the PSAC Championships beginning on May 9th at Mansfield University.
