Dear West Chester,

The weather has finally cooled down, and even though we’ve had to deal with some rain, we can finally start to prepare for true fall weather. It is finally October, which means a variety of exciting events are approaching: fall break, Halloween and homecoming! With so many exciting things to look forward to, I have a feeling this month will fly by.

This week we have a number of articles regarding APSCUF and their decision to have a potential strike. We have interviews with Seth Kahn and Ken Mash, reviews of Monday night’s Debate Watch, coverage of the To Write Love On Her Arms event, reviews of the new album “Pixie Queen” and great reports on our sports teams. Our Op-Ed section discusses Black Lives Matter and the benefits of going on hikes (perfect for this time of year). All of this and more can be found within this week’s section.

With fall break approaching, we will not, unfortunately, have an issue until Oct. 17. By then we will hopefully have a better idea as to how likely the APSCUF strike will happen, and more articles discussing the next presidential debate.

Enjoy this weather, and good luck with classes this week! Fall break is just around the corner—have a relaxing few days off, and get ready to decorate for Halloween!
