The West Chester University’s men’s indoor track and field team placed seventh out of 13 teams last weekend in the 2006 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Junior Eric Broadbent and junior Kareef Wallance each walked away with PSAC titles.
Broadbent (the pictured jumper) won two titles during the meet. He captured the long jump on Saturday, and then collected the triple jump on Sunday. He also took second in the high jump during the meet to earn All-PSAC honors. Broadbent earned the honor of being named the Outstanding Male Field Athlete of the 2006 PSAC Championships. He is also an NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifier in the long jump, high jump and triple jump, and is waiting to hear if he makes the field for the national meet.
Wallace tied the PSAC record as well as repeating as the conference championship for the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.42. Wallace also earned All-PSAC honor for placing first in the meet.
