After the mess on campus following the World Series win this past semester, the university took preemptive measures to avoid the same situation from taking place if the Eagles should make it to or win the Super Bowl. Emails were sent to every student, and if the student was a member of more than one organization or team, he or she probably recieved it at least twice, if not three or four times. Letters about respecting the community were hung on every bulletin board on campus, hung in the bathrooms where the Stall Seat Journals usually sit and more or less shoved at us from every angle. Was this wrong for the campus to do? Well, was it right for the students to react the way they did in October? However, as we all know by now, the Eagles will not be playing in the Super Bowl. While it is possible that the small concentration of Pittsburgh fans might cause some trouble, it definitely won’t be as much of an issue as an Eagles win would have been.

Let’s not give up hope though. Rest assured that we will recieve these same messages near the end of April when hockey season is wrapping up and the Flyers are getting ready to bring home the cup.
