Thanks to a fourth-place finish in men’s swimming & diving and a sixth-place standing for the women at the NCAA Division II Nationals, the West Chester University Athletics program has jumped to 27th win the race for the 2003-2004 United States Sports Academy Directors’ Cup Championship. The annual award is presented to the Division II school accumulating the most points based on games finished in 14 NCAA Championships (seven men, seven women). West Chester has accrued 205 program points and ranks second among Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference schools only behind IUP (216).

The big jump for the Golden Rams came from swimming & diving this winter following the women’s 72-point performance and the men’s 80-point total. WCU also claimed points this past fall when its women’s soccer team reached the second round of the NCAA post-season for the first time in school history.
