The harsh burning sensation
Washes down my body
Scratching my throat
Coating it
Like gas to a flame
Your fingers stroke
The side of my arms
Leaving behind a cold feeling
Like wind nipping against raw skin
A faint smell of firewood
Clouds around us
As you lean down to
Bite at the skin
Under my jaw
Covered in the
Ash from the smoke
You left a trail
Of black dust
Up my neck
You chased me around
The maze until
There was a dead end
It was game over
You win
