As West Chester’s men’s basketball team prepares for the PSAC tournament they are led by senior guard Jon Breeden. A transfer from Siena last year, Breeden jumped right into the role as West Chester’s starting point guard.

Breeden first picked up a basketball at age 3, and began playing competitively at age 8.

“I’ve always been motivated by Allen Iverson because of his small stature. But Michael Jordan is the biggest motivator and I try to imitate his work ethic,” Breeden said.

After playing two years at Siena, Breeden decided to transfer to West Chester.  Initially planning to transfer to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, West Chester’s head coach Damien Blair is what changed his mind.
