Dear sun
There are people who will think I’m talking about a kid
Little do they know I’m talking about the ball of light and warmth and love that I am in no rush to get rid
Dear sun
You are a star
Just had to point that out so you never forget who you are
Dear sun
You brighten my life and you don’t even know
How happy I am to see you glow
Dear sun
I shine brighter because of you
I love you forever no matter what you do
Dear sun
I understand you feel like your mom wasn’t there for you
But why can’t you see that I’m starting to feel the way same too
Dear sun
You never felt like you had a mom but you should be thankful
Because that’s easier than having a mom and feeling like your loosing her, now that is what I call painful
Dear Sun
Why must you put on such a shield around you
Learn to let people in and surround yourself with people willing to uplift everything you do
Dear sun
You can be my biggest joy and heartache
Nobody ever told me that the one you love the most will make you feel like a total mistake
Dear sun
I am not mad
I know it’s hard for someone who is hurt to love to the fullest but you try and for that i am glad
Dear sun
Sometimes I wonder if our glow is too bright for each other
Like will we ever be able to coexist and this is something I truly wonder
Dear sun
When you look at me what do you see
I try my best to be what you want me to be
Dear sun
When I look at you I see beauty who was been burned
I see someone who was come so far but still has many stones unturned
Dear Sun
One day I will be someone great
So I hope that we can build a bond so you don’t miss it cause by then it will be to late
Dear sun
I know you love me but you don’t always no how to show it
But we will learn together and to this I fully commit
Dear sun
Some only see and acknowledge what good you do in the light
I want you to know that I have always seen your good and I know that for the ones you love you are never afraid to fight
Dear sun
even when someone tries to discredit you know i will always defend your name
Because you are the roots in which my body of greatness came
Dear sun
I’m working on learning to forgive you for the internal scars you’ve given me
Know i am not doing this for you, no I am doing this to finally set MY soul free
Dear sun
you are my world and then some
You are the rocky beat that goes to my drum
Dear sun
I vow to stop this cycle of toxicity in our family
Dear sun
You are my mom
And even if I don’t always say it baby girl you are the bomb
Dear Mom
Do you remember when I was a little kid and you told me I have a connection with the sun
That the sun loves the melanin in my skin so when I see it never run
You said never forget who you are
But I’ve never gotten the chance to remind you of who you are
You can be aggy and overbearing
But that is how you show that you will never stop caring
You are a fresh breath of struggle and resilience
You are a burst of life nobody knows they need until they get it
You are a one way train of lets argue for hours central
You are my mom
You are essential
Some may call you crazy, some may say you’re fun, I say you are the brightest star I’ve ever seen, you are truly my sun
