As one of the more consistent players in the R&B world, Jordan Ward is a generational talent. He has been gaining visibility and credibility in the last couple of years thanks to his viral music, Tiny Desk appearance and colleague co-signs. The St. Louis-based artist’s debut album, “FORWARD,” released in 2023, and features some of his most popular songs such as “White Crocs,” “FAMJAM4000” and “IDC.”
Two years later, he has been featured on songs with artists such as Cordae, No ID and Nascent. In 2024, he also released a collaborative EP with rapper Joony titled “JRNY,” which was well received.
Coming into 2025, a new era of Ward has been teased. “JUICY,” his new single, is its first sample. The smooth, yet intentional track, speaks towards a desire for freedom and someone to share it with. In the song, Ward sings, “I’m trying to buy some land, I heard it’s cheaper out in Texas. It makes me question, have I been living in vain? Chasing frivolous dreams? Feeding a mass demand that’s backburnered the world into flames, but with you I see a way. With you, I’d change everything. Give up everything, if you’re with me, in peace.”
The song was first previewed on the Lot Radio stream, alongside other upcoming releases. One teased song features “POOKIE REQUIEM” artist SAILORR. He accompanied the release of “JUICY” with a music video starring his longtime best friend and collaborator, Kato. The track was produced by Lido, Michael Uzowuru and Teo Halm.
What’s next for Jordan Ward? He’s set to make an appearance at University Union’s “Juice Jam” show in Syracuse, New York, on Sept. 20. He has also been announced as a special guest for JID’s international tour “GOD DOES LIKE WORLD TOURS” in Australia and New Zealand in May, 2026. We can’t wait to see what he has in store to close out 2025 and prepare for his upcoming second album.
