She knows me like no other
Parts of me that are not visible in the scorching light
Only under her luminous hues is where I am truly me
My phases begin to bleed into each other
Phases that are ugly, cruel and bleak
Phases that are kind, shine and glisten
She knows it all
In the deep night where, I am freezing begging for warmth
She reels me in and I bask in her comfort
For a moment I see a clear reflection
Only then realize I’ve always known her.
