First Day:
Trusting God
There isn’t a manual. Have faith in who He is and trust that He knows all and sees all. God knew us and who we would become before we were formed in our mother’s womb. Whatever is worrying you, He already has a plan to stop the worrying. He already knows what needs to be done. All you need to do is have faith.
I have found myself wanting to question God regarding my circumstances, wanting to know why things are the way that they are. How come God has placed me in certain arenas, or even why I needed to be separated by certain things and people. But I quickly realized that some things do not have explanations, and other things are not for me to understand.
However, what I try to find peace in is the fact that I Am one of God’s children. He wants the absolute best for each of His children, even though none of this makes sense. I may not even be able to explain to you what is happening in my life, but I can tell you that God is at the center of it. And when He is the driver of my life, I know that He knows exactly where He is going. He has a GPS, so as the passenger, I should allow Him to lead. When you understand that God is the driver of your life, you start to grasp the fact that wherever He is taking you is exactly where you need to be.
Scripture
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” KJV.
Expansion
We cannot see what He has planned for our futures. But having the faith to Trust that He will make everything alright, having the faith to trust that He is who He says He is, The Alpha and The Omega, The Beginning and The End, and having the faith to trust that He has our best interest in every situation, is what we should be focused on. We may not be able to see His vision right now, but best believe it will come to fruition. There is so much more in store for you. Just trust Him. Leaning on your own understanding will never give you the answers you need but leaning on God and trusting in Him will always give you everything you need.
Prayer
Dear God,
I don’t know what’s happening, and I don’t know what is next for me. But I do know that you love me. You have my best interest. You know me better than anyone else could, even if they had the same brain I have. You know my thoughts, desires, mistakes, and You still love me. I have no choice but to trust in You. No matter the outcome. There is light at the end of every dark tunnel. It will get better for me. You taught me that. With this, I ask that You remove any and all worries in my body. And Lord, in spite of how I act at times, I do trust You. Even when everything in my life is going wrong, I know that You know what is best for me. I know that I should trust in You. I love You. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
