While many of us enjoyed our spring break, 11 members of the West Chester University Wrestling Club were putting in the work at the National Collegiate Wrestling Championship in Shreveport, Louisiana. Of the 11 students the team sent to nationals, two received an All-American title. This year, the team had members from both the women’s and men’s team qualify for nationals. As the season comes to a close, many are looking forward to their continued growth and success in the upcoming season.

Of the 11 students at nationals, men’s team members Keaton Fischer and Matt Micale left with an All-American title. As a team, the WCU Wrestling Club left with the NCWA Division II National title.

Overall, the team did great at nationals, although not all students left with a title. The club’s president, Audra Kuduck, has expressed how well the team has done this season.

According to Coach Tony Finding, the team led the regular season 14–2. Their team consists of a full men’s squad and a small women’s team. In the coming years, they expect the women’s team to experience exponential growth.

Congratulations to the team on earning their national title, and good luck in the coming season!
