Madison Baxter (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) had a huge week this past week registering four goals and a pair of assists for 10 points on the week. Baxter started her big week on Wednesday afternoon against Mansfield when she had a hand in all four West Chester goals for a career-high six points. Baxter’s goals against Mansfield were bookends as she scored the first goal of the game just three minutes in before scoring the final goal of the game in the 65th minute. Baxter now leads the team in all three major categories with 21 points on the year thanks to eight goals and five assists.
A.J. Long rushed for 133 yards while throwing three touchdowns passes against No. 15 Kutztown in helping No. 12 West Chester clinch the PSAC Eastern Division title with a 38-21 win. He was named the PCN Player of the Game as a result. He finished 10-for-17 and did not throw an interception in the win. He carried the ball 22 times, averaging 6.4 yards per carry. He had 221 total yards of offense in the win.
