Valentine’s Day is over, Easter is approaching with April showers and summer is slowly coming upon us with graduations and weddings. Why not enjoy these times with something sweet and delicious? By sweet and delicious, I simply mean stopping by one of the most notable bakery shops in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia—Whipped Bakeshop.

Whipped Bakeshop was founded in 2009 by Zoe and Brennen Lukas. Their value is to always have fun while crafting new ideas for sweet treats for their customers. Whipped Bakeshop hand-makes their cupcakes, cakes, brownies, cookies and other treats from scratch. All of the baked goods are designed with details per the customer’s desires. Imagine going into a bakery shop where they can craft and design anything that you would like to “wow” your friends, loved ones or even yourself with. I decided to test it out for myself!

The very first time I shopped with Whipped Bakeshop was the summer of 2017. I purchased a bestseller cake called chocolate waterfall. The cake’s main ingredients consist of rich truffle cream, iced chocolate meringue buttercream with Belgian chocolate ganache on top. Chocolate waterfall was by far the best cake I have ever tried in my life. The soft creamy texture and delightful taste of the cake will have you wanting to get seconds. I would definitely recommend trying this cake flavor and the cupcake version called chocolate truffle.

The second time I went into the bakery was on Saturday, Feb. 10 to see what would unfold. Upon my second visit, I was greeted by the owner, Zoe, and she asked what I would like; there were a great deal of options to choose from. A cake had an Eagles logo adorned on it because of their recent victory. The cupcake options on display ranged from items called nutella chocolate chip, eagles coconut, old fashioned chocolate, funfetti vanilla and chocolate truffle, whereas the small treats were called PJ krispy bars, cakecups, French macaroons, with plenty more. I decided to treat my family to some sweets, so I purchased the PJ krispy bar, which had peanut butter topped with chocolate and crispy rice flakes, chocolate truffle cupcakes, Eagles coconut cupcakes, and the funfetti vanilla cupcakes. They enjoyed every last one and are planning to visit this bakeshop in the near future.

Whipped Bakeshop’s customer service is amazing, and the products are even more delightful. They go above and beyond to please their customers. They want to be happy creating desserts while making their customers happy too.

If you have a sweet tooth, and wouldn’t mind enjoying a guilt-free treat once in a while, stop by Whipped Bakeshop in Philadelphia to enjoy some of the richest flavors of sweet treats that you could ever try! They are located at 636 Belgrade Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125.
