Dear West Chester,
Welcome back! I hope everyone had wonderful summer vacations and is (at least semi) ready to get back to classes. I know it’s such a cliché, but summer truly flew by this year; perhaps that’s because it will be my senior year this time around. For those of you who are freshmen, sophomores and even juniors, cherish your time at West Chester—it really flies by. Before you know it, you’ll be applying for graduation.
I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome our new staff and welcome back our old! We have two new copy editors: Sarah and Zoe, as well as one returning—Kennedy. We also have three new section editors for News (Halle), Features (Amanda) and Op-Ed (Mike). In addition, Bernie and Alex B., our photography and asst. photography editors, Eric, our entertainment editor and B.J., our sports editor, are all back on board. Alex D. has since moved from copy editor to online editor and we also welcome Mikayla, our new asst. news editor! Finally, Danielle, our new managing editor, is also a welcome addition to our staff. Dr. Benjamin Kuebrich will also be returning as our faculty advisor.
The Quad is just getting back into the swing of things, so look out for our newest editions of the paper every Monday! Plus, if you’re looking to get more involved, stop by our office (Sykes 253) tomorrow, 9/12, at 3:30 p.m.; we’re hosting our first information session! There WILL be pizza, so don’t miss out.
Good luck to you all as you return to classes!
