The Golden Rams Society (GRS) is a group of up to 30 highly motivated, dedicated and successful students who have been selected by the WCU Foundation to serve under the president of West Chester University while representing our student body to various external constituencies and alumni.

The GRS seeks to educate current WCU students about the WCU Foundation and Alumni Association’s mission to generate resources to support student needs and the university’s future growth.

The GRS will also work to encourage students to become involved with WCU Foundation and Alumni Association programs and activities and to educate current students about the importance of being active alumni and donors in the future.

GRS members gain valuable experience in marketing, program planning, networking and managing projects when they become involved with the program.

In addition, GRS members will be recognized participants among the faculty, staff and alumni constituencies.

Most importantly, though, GRS members will have the opportunity to network with some of WCU’s most distinguished and successful alumni, corporate leaders and friends of the university.

All GRS members will receive a $250 award for every 20 hours of service for their work and commitment to the WCU Foundation, WCU Alumni Association and the university.

GRS is currently seeking out students filled with “Ram Pride” who are graduating between 2018 and 2020. Applications are available and open until Friday, Nov. 11 and can be found at http://www.wcufoundation.org/grs.

If anyone is interested in hearing more about the society and how to get involved, they should reach out to GRS Advisor Molly Callanan at mcallanan@wcufoundation.org.

An information session will be held to answer questions and meet members on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Brandywine Room 033.

The Golden Rams Society is asking that all who plan to attend RSVP to President Vivian Greene at VG791514@wcupa.edu.

Brittany Smeltz is a third-year student majoring in marketing and management. She can be reached at BS828385@wcupa.edu.
