Letter from the Editor

Dear West Chester,

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fun, relaxing summer and is feeling refreshed for the new school year. This summer, I was lucky enough to go on West Chester’s Media in Ireland study abroad trip, where I spent over two weeks traveling the country’s beautiful, veridian landscapes and roaming the streets of Temple Bar. I made so many wonderful friends and learned so much about Ireland’s culture; I strongly recommend anyone who is interested in studying abroad to consider going on this fantastic journey.

I am excited to welcome our new staff at The Quad. We hired a ton of new editors, photographers, and managers. My partner-in-crime, Kinjal Shah, has done an excellent job so far helping me kickstart my new role. Brooke Moore has lured in a variety of advertisements already for our first issue. Our section editors, Sunny, Bryce, Eric, B.J., and Dylan have been on top of things since day one, and continue to produce high quality work. Our photographers, Bernie and Robert, are off to a brilliant start and have helped me gather ideas for future issues. Katherine has done an excellent job taking on social media and learning new roles at our paper. And finally, our copy editors Dimitri, Lauren and Alex: You’ve all been very patient with me as I’ve dealt with the changing staff and new editing process.

It has been a crazy, busy time at The Quad with Syke’s new renovations, but I am extremely proud of our team so far and cannot wait to tackle the fall semester.

Good luck to all incoming and returning students on classes this year; I know you will all do wonderfully well.
