When my computer froze on me, instead of getting frustrated I decided to take a break. I went over to the TV and just watched some of my favorite shows for a while, which definitely helped me relax and in turn helped prevent me from smashing my laptop. So when you feel like your life gets too crazy this semester, just turn on the TV to enjoy Fall’s new line-up. Trust me, it helps. Many stations have great returning shows this season. One of the hottest and most anticipated shows is the “The O.C.” on Fox, Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. This fan favorite depicts the lives of a few upper class California residents who can never stay away from drama. Another great returning show to FOX is “House” which is on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. The show is about a Princeton, N.J. based hospital that specializes in the most rare illnesses and its doctors have to deal not only with the patients but with their boss, the king of mean, Dr. Gregory House. With Marissa on trial for attempted murder and House’s addiction to pain killers only worsening, I would hate to miss out on these shows. Newer shows coming to FOX include “Head Cases” on Wednesdays at 9 p.m., starring Chris O’Donnell and Rachel Leigh Cook, and “Reunion” which is on at 9 p.m. on Thursdays following “The O.C.” Of course there are the returning classics such as “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy,” “Bernie Mac” and “Arrested Development.”

On ABC, there are several returning shows that are also addicting such as “Lost,” which is on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. On Sundays “Desperate Housewives” at 9 p.m. will be followed by “Grey’s Anatomy”at 10 p.m.. Some newer shows to hit the air waves this fall on ABC include “Commander in Chief” on Tuesdays at 9 p.m., where the producers put a woman in the president’s chair. And of course, let’s not forget about Monday Night Football at 9 p.m.. As for NBC, they also have some interesting new and returning shows to air this fall. Martha Stewart has some big shoes to fill this fall for “The Donald” with her new show “The Apprentice: Martha Stewart,” premiering next Wednesday.

Other returning shows this fall include “Will & Grace” on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. and “The West Wing” on Sundays at 8 p.m. Newer shows include “Three Wishes” hosted by Amy Grant premiering Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. and “My Name is Earl” starring Jason Lee which premieres on Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. Other shows airing this fall include “Making the Band 3” on MTV and “Storytellers” on VH1.
