On Thursday Dec. 4, Dr. Matthew Bricketto was named as Vice President for Student Affairs.In an e-mail circulated to the employees of West Chester University, President Madeleine Wing Adler wrote, “Since 1986, Matt has provided excellent service to West Chester University in previous roles which include Interim Vice President for Student Affairs, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs, Dean of Students, and the Advancement Executive. His student centered approach, and his University leadership and vision, will continue to move the Student Affairs Division towards an even higher level of excellence.”
The search committee members included Dr. Gail Bollin, Dr. Fred Gage, Dr. Sheila Patterson, Ms. Marion McKinney, Mr. Greg Dero, Ms. Erica Seidner, Mr. Charlie Warner, and Mr. Larry Dowdy.
Since 1986, Bricketto has been at West Chester in his role as Dean of Students. He has obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University, an M.Ed. in College Student Personnel Work from Ohio University, an MBA in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Rutgers University.
Bricketto is an honorary member of the Friar’s Society, serves on several university committees that includes the Town Gown Committee (chair), and is the advisor for the Student Government Association.
Bricketto’s appointment is effective immediately.
