Jake Platt is a third year English major/Spanish minor who enjoys taking photographs and writing poetry. The inspiration for these two particular photographs is rooted in his interest for nature and beauty. Platt’s poem was inspired by topics covered in the British Literature course he is presently taking, “We’re covering different forms of literature in our class, and I figured why not trying my hand at writing poetry.” Platt is also interested in musical theater, acting, reading horror novels and writing when time permits. Platt plans to be a special education teacher with a vast background in English literature to answer any questions his students may have in relation to the subject. Platt will also be participating in a photography competition geared for college-aged students next month.
