West Chester University senior, Megan B. Bates, 21, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 at Chester County Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident early Monday morning.
Bates, scheduled to graduate this Spring, was working toward a B.A. in Communication Studies and had a great interest in theater. She was also a 2003 graduate of West Chester B. Reed Henderson High School and resided in Downington.
She worked as a server for the past three years at Riverstone Cafe in Exton and just recently started a modeling job on the side.
Friends described her beauty as ‘natural and stunning’ and supported her aspirations to become an actress.
“We just loved to be around her,” said fellow classmate and friend, Katie Hazzard, “She was just so funny and so smart. We will truly miss her.
