I’ve always been a collector. Of the things I’ve saved, fortune cookie messages were among them.

There are simple joys in opening a fortune cookie to find a secret paper with a written message. The message you read silently to yourself, or aloud for others, may impact the way you view life, or you may believe it’s already true. Your college diploma will be much more than a paper document hanging on the wall of your living room. A tiny piece of paper with a made up message is more than a fortune. It’s something you can apply to yourself.

Growing up I would find a way to relate my fortune cookie message to myself. Now I’m finding ways to relate quotes and fortunes to my college life. One way to do this is to add a positive message into your personality, work ethics, college work, and personal life.
