According to the safety alert recieved on April 27, The West Chester University Police Department received a report of a rape that occurred about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 2008. The rape occurred in a residence hall located on campus. The victim met her assailant in the hours prior to the incident at a party.”
This recent report marks the fourth occurance of rape reported by the Department of Public Safety. There were also a number of indecent exposure allegations made throughout the course of the semester.
All four of the alleged rapes occured in the residence halls.
Students are reminded to not walk alone in public especially after dark, and be mindful of surroundings as the end of the semester nears.
