The West Chester University men’s basketball team’s chances of making a deep run into the post-season were dealt a crippling blow this past week. The Rams lost freshman guard Kenneth St. George for the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury. Before the injury, St. George was averaging 11.9 points per game, 2.4 rebounds as well as 1 assist per game and was really starting to come into his own as a floor general and a team leader. In arguably his finest game of the year, St. George recently scored 25 points and added 6 rebounds to lead the Rams over University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown.
St. George’s injury means other players will have to increase their productivity to make up the difference. Justin Westmoreland and Kevin Stokes will split time, with Westmoreland bringing more of the offensive aspect of things and Stokes bringing his usual rugged defense.
