To the Editor: This semester it seems like the Rams Head food court has undergone some changes. They have added an Mexican taco stand, but it seems they have also cut down the hours. Grillworks and most of the hot food places now close at 8pm! Even worse is the fact that Ram’s Head Food Court now closes at 10pm! What a joke. Now if us students are hungry we have to go to the diner and spend two meals (the average cost for just one meal at the diner) late at night. Gimme a break. I hope this changes soon. To the Editor:

Public Safety is one of the best things that West Chester University could ever have on campus. I appreciate the fact that the faculty and staff are concerned about their students. Why not? Most places we attend nowadays we have to watch our backs ourselves because of this or that. Imagine if Public Safety never existed, this campus would be even worse and torn apart. There would be higher rates of harassing, intimidating, robbery, assaulting, and lots more running around campus. To whom could we look for help? However, Public Safety makes me feel so safe and secure it makes a chill run through my body. If you need help with any situation, they’re willing to give you their time to help out. Safety is one of the most important things that we need in our lives. For example, about three weeks ago I left my friend’s room about one in the morning; I was afraid to walk back to my dorm by myself, so I asked the front desk to call Public Safety for me. The DA (Desk Assistant) did not hesitate one bit to make the thirty second call for me. Within five minutes Public Safety charged to McCarthy Hall to escort me to Wayne Hall, which is about ten minutes away on the other side of North Campus. I felt like someone really cared about my feelings. What if I didn’t call Public Safety? What would’ve happened? I don’t know. This is my number one reason why I praised Public Safety at West Chester University. LaShanda Wilson First-year student
