Women’s RugbyWest Chester University’s women’s rugby team shut out Millersville 17-0 on Saturday to move to the Eastern Penn Rugby Union (EPRU) championship held Sunday.
The Golden Rams will face Princeton at 1 p.m. Sunday for the EPRU title. The Golden Rams and Princeton met Saturday, Oct. 2, and Princeton defeated the Gold Rams 54-0. In the game on Saturday, Steph Burkhardt scored a try the first half of the game to bring the Golden Rams to a 5- 0 lead. At halftime, the score was still 5-0. During the second half, Giselle Gonzalez scored her sixth try of the season, and Whitney Hartshorne scored her 13th conversion of the season, bringing the score to 12-0. Late in the second half, Hartshorne scored her third try of the season, to bring the final score of the game to 17-0.

Women’s Soccer

After a loss to Bloomsburg Tuesday, West Chester University’s Women’s Soccer season came to an end. Tuesday’s game against Bloomsburg was the opening round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs. The Bloomsburg Huskies scored the first and only goal of the game during the first half, giving the Huskies the lead, and eventually the victory. The Golden Rams finished their season 11-7-2 overall.

Volleyball

The West Chester University team finished off the 2004 season with a 3-2 win over Millersville Saturday afternoon. The Golden Rams beat the Marauders 30-23, 20-30, 23-30, 30-23, 15-1. The Golden Rams wrapped up the season with a record of 17-12 overall, and 5-5 in the PSAC East.
