Should Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld get the boot? Of course! It’s only logical. Think of it this way: if some burger-flipper at McDonald’s screwed up as bad as Rummy has, that employee would have been fired a long time ago. The stakes are too high. If you suck at your job and people die as a result of your incompetence, you should resign, or better yet, you should be fired. No, wait, the person responsible for hiring you should be fired, I’m talking to you, Se¤or Bush.

The President uses the White House like a child’s tree house, where only he and his friends are allowed to play – no dissent allowed.

Rumsfeld has repeatedly proven his inability to make competent military judgments and our troops have suffered dearly as a result. In fact, six retired U.S. generals have called for Rumsfeld’s resignation – an unprecedented number. The generals, analysts say, are only a small portion of a larger number of high-ranking military brass -retired and active- who would like to see Rummy resign but do not speak publicly for fear of retribution.

The dissatisfaction with Rumsfeld’s job in Iraq is one of many serious problems Bush is facing these days and I’ve never been more proud to say that I voted for the other guy…what was his name again?
