Let’s face it ladies. We’ve all gone out on the exciting but nerve wracking first date with a cute crush. He picks you up, you look nice, then there’s awkward silence- you know, the usual. Every thing seems to be going fine on the date, he drops you off at the door, and maybe you get a kiss, maybe you don’t. The next day, you eagerly wait for some kind of feedback. A text, a phone call, Facebook message, anything really. But you don’t get it. Days turn into weeks and finally, you realize, he doesn’t want a second date, leaving you to wonder, “what did I do?”??Well, if you tune in to “Tough Love,” a new reality TV show brought to you by VH1 you will witness expert matchmaker Steve Ward giving female dating duds brutal insight as to what men REALLY think about a female on a day to day basis, including how we dress, how we look, how much we weigh, what we talk about, etc.
He does this so they can improve their image and how they present themselves to men in order to find the love of their lives.??
The pilot episode aired two weeks ago and it introduced viewers to eight women from all walks of life who each have a characteristic about them that turns men off,.For example there’s judgemental Abiola, on-a-quest-for marriage Jacklyn, can’t-trust-a-man Arian, clingy Jessa, independent Jody, wants-to-fix-the-broken Natasha, tough Stasha and prissy Taylor.
Each of these women are counseled by Steve, who coaches them as to what to do or say on a first date, and what not to say or do. In this past week’s episode, he used a zapper to cue the ladies when they were touching on off-limits topics.pretty tough huh? ?
It may sound not so tough to the viewer but, to these women, the brutal feedback sends them reeling and on a soul search to find out what it really is that they are looking for in a man and resolve their personal issues in order to move forward. And, of course, whenever perfect strangers have to live together on reality shows, we have the senseless but entertaining drama that ensues, especially from Taylor.??
