Dear Quad editor and staff,

Shaking Tree will be performing at The Spence Cafe on Thursday, October 14th. The four piece Lawrence, Kansas-based band continues to receive increasing national attention for their unique sound and they are looking forward to visiting West Chester as part of a tour through the eastern states. Aside from tour dates with The Gin Blossoms, Michael Glabicki (Rusted Root), and Journey (yes – Journey!), their rhythm-driven acoustic rock has been licensed to The Real World, Road Rules, Disney, The Discovery Channel, and their song “Memory of Me” was chosen as the end credit music to Kevin Smith/Jeff Anderson’s (Clerks, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) upcoming release Now You Know.

If you are interested in any artist interviews or advanced promotion for the show, the band is always willing and will make themselves available by phone at your convenience. Shaking Tree regularly pursues interviews with collegiate publications and they have never been considered anything other than engaging and professional. In gratitude, the band is more than happy to promote The Quad, WCUR 91.7, and other university affiliates alongside their merchandise at the show.

Shaking Tree is currently making arrangements for an on-air performance with WCUR 91.7 before the show on Thursday and would love to pair the appearance with print media, as well.

Feel free to contact me through this email address, or you are encouraged to contact bassist Keenan Stump directly at 402.312.5590 (or by keenan@shakingtree.com).
