On Sept. 7, 8, 9 at 9:30 p.m, and on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m, the West Chester University Theatre Department will be hitting the Philadelphia
stage. The cast of last spring’s comedic hit ‘Psycho Beach Party,’ by Charles Busch will be part of the annual Philadelphia Fringe Festival, a unique conglomeration of arts and theatre often for late-night audiences.
The show is a spoof of beach-party hits with Frankie & Annette-type characters, and revolves around drag, sex, and racy humor.Another Quad recommendation for a Philadelphia Fringe must-see is ‘Little / Yma,’ which features the work of WCU professor Len Kelly, as
well as an ensemble showcasing the talent of several WCU students. This
unique original play is centered on adaptations of two short
stories, the first being Dorothy Parker’s ‘Just a Little One,’ and Thomas Meehan’s ‘Yma Dream.’

The show concludes the Fringe Festival, with performances on Sept. 17, at 9:30 p.m, and 12:00 p.m, and on Sept. 18 at 9:30 p.m. Both shows are being performed at Adrienne Theatre on 2030 Samson Street. For tickets and information on other Fringe events, call 215-413-1318, or vist
