Three individuals from Presentation Media Services have helped me many times in the past years and I want to SHOOT THEM A RAM STAR! Thank you! Eleanor Walton and Joe Watts from the Digital Media Center and Steve Duckinfield, Multi-Media technician!
Because of Eleanor (El), I have easy access to many videos and video clips that I use in class. Last year, Joe edited a video for me, a video used at an international conference in Rome. Joe and El’s work on that project meant so much to so many people. Over the years, I have found El not only willing to help me quickly with my questions, but when she finds out what I am doing, she offers further suggestions.
Some of you may have seen El or Joe working behind the scenes. For sure, you have seen Steve Duckinfield in your classrooms, as your professors pace, not knowing what to do without technology. Steve quickly and quietly fixes the equipment in our classrooms. Once, I called him at 9:00 a.m. and started my class without a projector. Steve was there by 9:05 a.m. and had the projector fixed within minutes. These individuals enhance our lives on campus. Next time you see them, offer a smile and nod of thanks.
