Not going away for spring break? No need to worry; there are still plenty of things to keep you entertained over the week. If you are staying in West Chester over break, stop by Fennario on North Church Street and check out some bands playing there. Romancing the Pain will be opening for the Ritalin Kids on March 12 at 7 p.m. At Rexʼs Bar on March 5, Lungfish will be playing. Grab some friends and check out all of West Chesterʼs great restaurants like Kildareʼs, Iron Hill Brewery, Vincentʼs, Coyote, Barnabyʼs, or Turkʼs Head Inn. At Vincentʼs you can enjoy good food and listen to live jazz and blues music.

Planning day trips? Check out Longwood Gardens, Brandywine River Museum or the Barnes Foundation beforeit moves. The Barnes Foundation is an amazing collection of art by renowned artists displayed inside an estate. Drive up to Lancaster for the day, shop at the outlets there, and ride the Strasburg Railroad. Take the train into Philadelphia with some friends and stay over for the night. Try some tango with the Philadelphia Argentine Tango in Elkins Park from 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m. on March 5. From March 6-13, go see the flower show inPhiladelphia.

At the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Fridays from 5 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. admire the art and hear some great jazz and international bands while chatting with pals. The Philadelphia 76ers play throughout the week, so go support the team as they compete against Cleveland, Charlotte, and Golden State. Make sure to see the newest addition to the team, Chris Webber, when you attend the game.

Atlantic City is a great getaway for those who are 21 as well as those that arenʼt. Throughout the week there are comedy shows and concerts to keep the masses entertained. Tony Danza will be in town on Saturday, March 5 at 9 p.m. Try your hands at the tables if you of age to gamble, and try not to lose all of your money during your short getaway.

New York City is always a busy city to be in. Take the train or the drive to the city, where the possibilites of what to do are endless of what to do. There are many Broadway plays that are running this time of year. The nightlife is always alive in NYC and there are a variety of dance clubs, jazz clubs, bars, and under 21 places to go to at night.

Even if you are not going away on a fancy vacation to an exotic island, there are plenty of fun activities close by. Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and New York City are all great places to visit even if only or the day. So donʼt feel bad about staying home, get up and have fun.
