Students of WCU,??Hopefully, many of you had the opportunity to attend the 23rd Annual Student Leadership Experience in Sykes Union. Highlights included an inspirational discussion with The Cuban Guy, over twenty workshops with amazing leadership facilitators, and lastly, a $50,000 check from State Farm Insurance to continue our partnership in fostering leadership at WCU. This support helps fund programs such as the Executive Leadership Series, The Leadership Challenge, and many other great programs.
Calling all student organizations! As many of you know, the SGA Budget for 2009-2010 is well under way. Pending Senate approval at the meeting on Tuesday, 2/10/09, the Budget will be published in 2/16/09 issue of The QUAD. If your group is dissatisfied with its allocation, there is an opportunity to appeal, which is due on Friday, 2/20/09, no later than 1 p.m. to 217 Sykes Union. Appeals will take place 2/23-26/09. Lastly, President Select Greg Weisenstein will begin his term on Monday, 3/2/09.
