Field Hockey standout Sara Conrad was named to the Division I All-region second team by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.Conrad, who is a senior, was a linch-pin for the West Chester Field Hockey Squad, who finished the season 6-12.

The record may seem negative, but the year previous, the squad finished with only two wins.

The team made strides with better offensive production, defense and goalkeeping.

Conrad played and started in every game for West Chester, scoring nine goals, registering three assist and 21 points. Conrad ranked fifth in the Atlantic 10 in shots per game and shots.

Conrad’s delivered two hat tricks this year and also was named A-10 player of the week twice this year.

West Chester went 2-4 within conference play, including a thrill victory over Richmond, breaking their conference winning streak dating back to 2001.
