Dear West Chester,

I can’t believe next week is Thanksgiving already—I’m nearly in shock. Though it will be a much needed break from school and the mass amounts of work that have been accruing, it’s insane to consider the semester is actually almost over. As a senior, it’s is really hitting home: I’m almost done with school, have to figure out what it is I’d like to do upon graduation and start applying for jobs; I know my fellow graduating seniors understand.

Anyways, we have a big issue this week full of great content! Check out Abby Goss’ article on page two in News about the accident that happened this past week wherein two students were hit as well as Alex Shakhazizian’s article on page five about the terrible shooting that just happened in Texas. In addition, right around the one-year anniversary of Trump getting elected President, we have a year in review by Salvatore Pinero in Op-Ed on page 20. Furthermore, our Asst. Photography Editor Alex Breth took it upon himself to write for every section this week other than Sports, so round of applause to him!

I’d like also to give a shout-out to two very dedicated writers: Abbey Bigler, a staff writer, for writing her weekly science feature column and Caroline Fritz, one of our copy editors, for writing her weekly queer history feature column. These two students have been consistently writing since the beginning of the semester almost every single week and have done a wonderful job doing so. We are looking to implement some columnist positions next semester, so for those of you who are interested in something similar (i.e. a business column, crime column, etc.), feel free to reach out!

And of course, I’ve got to mention: Our logo contest goes on! Submit your designs to QuadEIC@wcupa.edu before Dec. 2 at 11:59 p.m. for a chance to win some great prizes.

As Thanksgiving break approaches, good luck in your classes and getting your work done! I know it may seem insurmountable, but just think—the end of the semester is in sight.
