Dear West Chester,
It’s strange for me to type this out, and even stranger for me to fully comprehend, but this is my last Letter from the Editor. I have treasured my time as Editor-in-Chief over the past six months, as The Quad has truly been my top priority this year.
Since next week is our last issue of the semester, The Quad masthead will look drastically different as multiple new replacements officially take over. While I will no longer be Editor-in-Chief, you’ll still be able to find my name to the right, only this time it will be as the Online Editor. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to work for such a hardworking news service and to collaborate with inspiring people like Dr. Thompsen. I look forward to seeing how The Quad will develop in the future.
Now, moving onto content, you can read about our cover story on page 2. In what was most likely my last article this year, I provided a summary of last Friday’s annual drag show, co-sponsored by LGBTQA and Sykes After Dark and hosted by Jaidynn Diore Fierce, a previous contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” For the following Monday, expect coverage of more big events, including Banana Day and Relay for Life.
If you would like to contribute to our tenth and final edition of The Quad this spring, or maybe even our summer issue, then I encourage you to reach out with your article ideas to the appropriate section editor by Tuesday, April 19 at 3:30 p.m. Additionally, feel free to email any questions to QuadEIC@wcupa.edu.
Sincerely,
Casey Tobias
