Dear West Chester,
So how about that snow, huh? And here I thought Punxsutawney Phil had predicted an early spring back in February! I almost wanted to believe him after those occasional 70-degree days that we saw a few short weeks ago, but now I’m starting to think that was just a tease. Nonetheless, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the warm weather is around the corner.
Unsurprisingly, the campus is bustling with activity. In the News section, you can check out Dr. Simona Sharoni’s visit to West Chester University, which can be found on page 2, or my article on recent APSCUF events, which can be found on page 7. In the Features section, you can read about our cover story event, “Rethinking Social Science,” which can be found on page 12. You can also catch up on events such as Research Day or WCU’s first SlutWalk, which can be found on pages 8 and 10, respectively.
There are also some rather interesting, and perhaps controversial, articles in this week’s Op-Ed section. Regarding the Entertainment section, there is a variety of topics covered, ranging from horror films to video games to The Lumineers. As for athletics, I encourage you to read about WCU’s latest successes in the Sports section.
With only two more issues of The Quad to be published this semester, time is running out to get yourself published.
