This past Tuesday, Jan. 27, saw the latest meeting of the Student Government Association (SGA). Most of the discussions pertained to projects and ideas that would be considered in the near future. One of the most pertinent of these was mentioned by Treasurer Justin Golden, who said the budget review would be happening soon. Other possible endeavors mentioned by senators included repainting the water tower, having WCU advertised on the second largest LED screen in Philadelphia, and giving the West Chester University sign on the corner of Rosedale Avenue and High Street a more modern look. [pullquote align=”right”]I’ve been told [appeals] is kind of boring at first, but it gets really interesting when there’s appeals coming in.[/pullquote]

Arguably an interesting part of the meeting was the filling of the appeals position by junior, Ryan Sulzer. After gaining a vote of approval from the senators, Sulzer was sworn in a few minutes later.

“I love it, I’m so excited,” Sulzer said about gaining a seat in SGA. “I’ve been told [appeals] is kind of boring at first, but it gets really interesting when there’s appeals coming in.” When asked what ideas he has for his new position, Sulzer said he’d like to use the opportunity to run for SGA president or treasurer next year.
