WCU is the home of many exceptional athletes. One of these is junior Casey McKinney. Casey has played defense for the Lady Rams soccer team for the last 3 years after being recruited for WCU women’s soccer with a partial scholarship. Here at WCU, McKinney majors in nutrition and hopes to use her degree to find a job working as a nutritionist/fitness trainer at a fitness center, health club or gym. She is very excited about the Lady Rams’ so far undefeated season.McKinney attended Dillsburg High School in Northern York, PA, and was named MVP player of the year her senior year. Her high school team made it to to the conference three years in a row. Casey has one brother who attends Dillsburg High School and who also plays soccer. Outside of sports, McKinney really enjoys music. She plans to attend a Fiona Apple concert in Philadelphiain a few weeks.

She doesn’t work during the soccer season since they practice every day. However, she worked as a waitress at a country club through the summer months.

Thanks to McKinney and all of the Lady Ram’s soccer team for a great beginning of the season… keep up the good work!
