After 15 years, the Visiting Artist Series will change its name to WCU Live! So far, the series has hosted over 118 performances. So far, 53,035 community members have attended the performances.

The performance series is a service to the surrounding community and we solicit sponsorships to keep the performances affordable to our patrons.

The series presents national and international professional touring artists. Past performers include: Vienna Choir Boys, The Count Basie Orchestra, The Boys Choir of Harlem, Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, and Aturo Sandoval.

This season we have a very intresting line up including: You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown Friday, August 20, 2010 & Saturday, August 21, 2010;

Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co. Saturday, October 30, 2010;

Randy Kaplan, October 10, 2010;

Groovelily November 6, 2010;

Justin Roberts February 5, 2011;

Barrage March 26, 2011;

Alice in Wonderland April 2, 2011;

Kevin Burke March 31, 2011,

Tamagawa University Taiko Drumming and Dance Troupe April 7, 2011;

Masked Marvels & Wondertales April 9, 2011′

The Department of Cultural and Community Affairs is responsible for planning and implementing activities and marketing efforts that advance the University’s cultural and public service agendas and positions WCU to be a valuable community resource as well as a regional center for the visual and performing arts through a multitude of programs.
