Men’s Basketball
The West Chester University ?s men?s basketball team clinched the No. 2 seed in the PSAC Eastern Division after defeating Bloomsburg 78-60 Wednesday night in Hollinger Field House.
Senior Matt Kurtz tallied a game-high 22 points, while Lenwood Greenwood and Aaron Williams each tallied double digits.
The Golden Rams posted a record of 18-9 overall for the season, and 8-4 in the PSAC East Division. The Golden Rams? victory over the Huskies, coupled with Kutztown?s win over Millersville, moved WCU into second place in the division. The Golden Rams will host Millersville Tuesday night at 8 p.m. in Hollinger Field House in a PSAC Quarterfinal matchup.Women’s Basketball
The West Chester University women?s basketball team soared past Bloomsburg Wednesday night 85-64 in the final game of the season for the Golden Rams.
Elise McCloy posted a game-high 20 points. Dominique Lewis tallied a doubledouble, with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Kiesha Mack also scored 16 points, while Malinda Fife posted 11 rebounds, four steals, and four assists.
The Golden Rams finish off the regular season with an 18-9 record and 10-2 in the PSAC East, while the Huskies fell to 12-11 on the season and 6-5 in the East.
WCU will host a quarterfinal game Tuesday night in Hollinger Field House at 6 p.m.
